Slot Of Madness — RTP, volatility and max win

GAMING1 gives Slot Of Madness a gloomy retro look: a demon slot where old books, candles and knives sit in the half-light on the reels. Bonus icons open the free spins, and the wild helps close lines in regular play.

Slot Of Madness came out on October 30, 2019. The design recalls an old horror film, with brown tones and candlelight setting the mood, while demons, old books and knives make up the symbols. The 5×3 grid has just 10 paylines, a narrow line set where every wild makes a noticeable difference. Stakes stop at €25 after starting from €0.20, a range that suits ordinary budgets rather than high rollers.

Because Slot Of Madness combines very few lines with high volatility, the overview of inferno slots by volatility shows which games swing just as hard.

All 10 paylines stay fixed, and identical symbols have to touch left to right from reel one. With so few lines, each hit tends to pay more than on games with dozens of lines, but hits come less often. The wild fills gaps in a line. Bonus icons do not count on the lines; they decide when the free spins start.

Bonus icons: when enough of them land on the grid at once, the free spins round begins. They are the only way into the bonus.

Free spins: in this round Slot Of Madness keeps spinning at no cost to you. This is where the bigger wins come from, because the base game, with so few lines, mostly pays small amounts.

Wild: the wild stands in for missing symbols on a line, and with only 10 paylines it is often the difference between a hit and an empty spin.

Since bonus icons are the only way into the bonus in Slot Of Madness, the inferno slots with free spins gather other games whose bigger wins come in the bonus round.

RTP 96.1%. Background: how RTP works on a slot. Volatility High, like 66 of the 114 slots in the Demon theme. Background: what slot volatility means. Max win 7,500× (€187,500 at the highest stake). Background: what max win means on a slot.

Slot Of Madness returns 96.1% and so belongs to the upper half of the Inferno slots.

A max win of 7,500× is a strong figure for a game with so few lines and sits ahead of most of the collection. High volatility goes with it, since the big sums in Slot Of Madness depend almost entirely on the free spins round. Plan for dry runs between rounds; that is how a ten-line game reaches a ceiling this high.

To set the return of Slot Of Madness against similar games, the RTP comparison of inferno slots lists the figure for every title.
