Fortune Charm — RTP, volatility and max win

Fortune Charm by Red Tiger pairs the phoenix with Chinese luck symbolism: dragons, gold coins and fish fill the reels in red and gold. Free spins arrive via scatters, and multipliers push individual wins higher.

Fortune Charm came out on August 23, 2018, one of Red Tiger's earlier games with an East Asian theme. The phoenix stands for luck and renewal, surrounded by dragons, coins and fish, the classic Chinese good-fortune symbols. The firebird flies over 5×3 reels that pay on 243 ways; bets begin at €0.20 and stop at €40, so small bets and mid-sized budgets both fit.

The five-reel, three-row grid has no fixed paylines. Matching symbols pay as soon as they appear on neighbouring reels counted from the left, in any row, which gives 243 ways. Several matching symbols on the same reel multiply the hit, because every combination is counted separately. The wild fills gaps in those chains, while scatters count wherever they land.

Wild: it fills gaps in the ways and helps complete chains across all five reels.

Scatters and free spins: scatter symbols can land anywhere on the grid, and enough of them start the free spins round.

Multiplier: multipliers raise individual wins by a set factor and, together with the free spins, are the route to the bigger payouts.

Since the big wins in Fortune Charm come through multipliers, set it against other inferno slots with multipliers and their max wins.

RTP 95.07%. Background: how RTP works on a slot. Volatility High, like 192 of the 399 Inferno slots. Background: what slot volatility means. Max win 2,000× (€80,000 at the highest stake). Background: what max win means on a slot.

A return of only 95.07% leaves Fortune Charm in the bottom quarter of the Inferno slots, well under the median.

Its 2,000× ceiling is modest for the collection too: only around 24% of the slots reach less. High volatility fits a game where free spins and multipliers decide the outcome, while base-game hits stay small.

Red Tiger lets casinos pick the RTP of Fortune Charm within a band, so the overview of the RTP of inferno slots shows where the game's highest value sits in the field.
