Firefly Frenzy by Play'n GO takes you into a forest at night, where fireflies, butterflies and mushrooms glow among gems and card suits. Extra wilds drop onto the reels at random, with free spins and multipliers on top.
Firefly Frenzy came out on July 24, 2019 and goes for a calm, dark blue woodland rather than flames: the light comes from fireflies drifting between flowers and mushrooms. Gems make up the premium symbols and card suits the low ones. The game plays on a 5×4 grid with 30 paylines, one row taller than the standard format. Bets per spin sit in the €0.30–€90 range.
Game rules
Fixed lines carry the wins, with matching symbols reading from the left on one line out of the 30 paylines. The fourth row stretches those lines over a taller field, so more positions can feed into a hit. Wilds fill gaps in a line, while scatters count anywhere on the grid and open the bonus.

Random wilds: in the base game extra wilds can fly onto the reels without warning and complete lines that would otherwise have paid nothing.
Free spins: land enough scatters and the free spins round begins. This is the part of the game the high volatility is built around.
Multiplier: a multiplier scales wins up several times over and is the main reason the max win can reach such a high figure on plain paylines.
Because the multipliers in Firefly Frenzy are what makes its high max win possible, it is worth comparing them with other inferno slots with multipliers.
RTP, max win & volatility
RTP 94.52%. Background: how RTP works on a slot. Volatility High, like 192 of the 399 Inferno slots. Background: what slot volatility means. Max win 10,000× (€900,000 at the highest stake). Background: what max win means on a slot.
An RTP of 94.52% sits in the bottom fifth of the Inferno slots, so the return is on the low side.
The max win tells a different story. 10,000× is a strong figure, with about 75% of the collection sitting lower. High volatility ties the two together. The base game runs on line hits and random wilds, and the big amounts come from multipliers and free spins.
Since the RTP of Firefly Frenzy depends on the casino's setting and the figure is low to begin with, check it against the inferno slots ranked by RTP before you play.
