Crown of Fire — RTP, volatility and max win

With Crown of Fire, Pragmatic Play serves a fruit machine in the classic style: cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, grapes and watermelons share the reels with a bell and a crown. The fire is in the name; what you actually play is a retro slot where symbols expand over entire reels and fill several lines at once.

Everything about Crown of Fire recalls the traditional fruit slot, with the crown as the showpiece symbol and the bell recalling old arcade machines. Its 5×3 reels carry 10 paylines, a line count typical of retro slots. Stakes per spin range from €0.10 to €100, from tiny amounts up to high bets. The slot was released on September 19, 2022.

Crown of Fire pays on fixed lines: a fruit combination counts on whichever of the 10 paylines it follows, once it starts on the leftmost reel and runs on without a gap. Each line is paid on its own, and hits on several lines in the same spin are added together. A symbol that expands over a whole reel sits on every row of that reel and can therefore complete several lines at once. Wilds fill in lines, while the scatter is paid outside them.

Expanding symbols: when one of these lands, it stretches over the entire reel. On a narrow line grid this is the main lever, because a full reel reaches into several lines at the same time.

Wild: it stands in for the fruits and helps complete lines next to an expanded reel.

Scatter: it pays independently of the lines once enough of them land on the reels.

In Crown of Fire, an expanded symbol fills an entire reel and reaches into several lines; slots built around the same effect are listed under inferno slots with expanding symbols.

RTP 95.34%, lower than 70% of the 400 Inferno slots. Background: how RTP works on a slot. Volatility Medium-high, like 19 of the 108 slots in the Fruit theme. Background: what slot volatility means. Max win 1,000× (€100,000 at the highest stake). Background: what max win means on a slot.

For Crown of Fire, the return of 95.34% is lower-half material in this field. Volatility is medium to high, while the 1,000× limit is small, ahead of only 11% of the slots we track. Bigger hits come when several reels are filled with the same fruit.
