Ozzy Osbourne — RTP, volatility and max win

Ozzy Osbourne by NetEnt puts the rock star on the reels: skulls, demons, roses and card suits in dark red. Respins, a symbol swap and multipliers work together in the base game, and the free spins are where it all comes to a head.

Visually, Ozzy Osbourne is a rock show in the dark: skulls and demons as the high symbols, flowers for contrast and card suits as the low tier. It plays on 20 paylines, with bets starting at €0.20. The slot was released on November 21, 2019 and belongs to the licensed musician slots from NetEnt that feature a real artist rather than an invented character.

With medium volatility and four modifiers in play, Ozzy Osbourne sits between calm and wild titles; titles at the same level are grouped under volatility of inferno slots.

Ozzy Osbourne pays on 20 paylines. An active line pays only when identical symbols run along it from the left without a break. Card suits make up the frequent small wins, while skulls, demons and the musician symbol carry the bigger ones. Wilds fill gaps on the lines, whereas scatters count anywhere on the grid. A spin starts at €0.20 and always covers every line.

What sets Ozzy Osbourne apart is how many modifiers it stacks in the base game. Respins hand you an extra spin in which symbols that already landed can stay put. The symbol swap turns symbols on the reels into a different icon, which can turn scattered hits into a paying line.

Multipliers boost the wins of the round in which they are active. The wild completes lines.

Scatters unlock the free spins. In that bonus round, wilds, symbol swaps and multipliers come together, and that is where the game's biggest wins happen.

In Ozzy Osbourne, symbols can stay in place during a respin and combine with the symbol swap; other titles built around that extra spin are listed under inferno slots with respins.

RTP 96.67%. Background: how RTP works on a slot. Volatility Medium, like 23 of the 114 slots in the Demon theme. Background: what slot volatility means. Max win 2,500×. Background: what max win means on a slot.

The 2,500× ceiling, on the other hand, sits under the median, with merely 30% of the collection capped lower. The game leans on a generous return rather than on extreme top prizes.

The RTP of Ozzy Osbourne is among the highest in the collection, though casinos can set it lower; the ranges are laid out in the RTP of inferno slots.
