Instant Inferno — RTP, volatility and max win

Instant Inferno from Woohoo sets the classic fruit machine on fire: cherries and bells spin in front of a hellfire backdrop. Mystery symbols reveal themselves together as one symbol, and scatter symbols open multiplier-boosted free spins.

The theme pairs old arcade icons with the inferno: cherries, bells and other classics surrounded by flames. Its 5×3 reels hold 30 paylines, more lines than many fruit slots of this kind. The stake per spin goes from €0.30 to €150. Instant Inferno was released on October 27, 2023.

Because Instant Inferno runs at high volatility even though its biggest win is only mid-sized, check the volatility of inferno slots.

The 30 paylines run over five reels, three rows high. Each line pays for a run of matching symbols starting with reel one, while wilds help complete combinations. With so many lines, nearly every position sits on several of them, so a revealed mystery symbol can trigger several wins at once. The scatter symbols count outside the lines.

Mystery symbols: they land face down and all turn into the same symbol once the reels stop. The more of them on the grid, the more lines the reveal can fill in one go.

Free spins with multiplier: scatters trigger the round, and a multiplier lifts its wins.

Pick bonus game: in this round you choose hidden objects to uncover prizes. That gives the fruit slot two separate bonus rounds.

Since a multiplier drives the bonus rounds of Instant Inferno, compare it with other inferno slots with free spins.

RTP 96.63%. Background: how RTP works on a slot. Volatility High, like 85 of the 180 slots in the Hell & devil theme. Background: what slot volatility means. Max win 3,333× (€499,950 at the highest stake). Background: what max win means on a slot.

Thanks to its 96.63% return, Instant Inferno belongs to the leading group of inferno slots: around 93% of them return less.

The mystery symbols and the free spins multiplier bunch wins into single spins, hence the high volatility. 3,333×, by contrast, is just below the median as a ceiling; 39% or so of the catalogue sits under it.
